Did you know that car seats do come with an expiration date? Not all baby gear is reusable, and other stuff, well, you might just be sick of. For the past eight years, Babies"R"Us has offered parents a solution: Trade in your old gear for store discounts. And this year’s event, called the Greater Trade-In, is right around the corner.

From Feb. 16 through March 18, parents can bring baby gear, furniture and gentle-used clothing to stores for 25 percent off a new gear or furniture item or the entirety of a clothing purchase. (There are several exemptions, though; read the fine print here) And if you’re part of the chain’s loyalty program, you’ll have access to trade-in deals starting on Feb. 11.

New to the list of items eligible for trade-in this year? Crib and toddler mattresses, plus clothing. And even if you have nothing to trade, all customers will receive 15 percent off select items both in store and online through the end of the event.

Take a look at the full list of the types of items you can trade in below.

  • bassinets
  • bouncers
