‘Bachelor’ Stars Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon Are Expecting Their First Child

‘Bachelor’ alums Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon are expecting their first child this February! The couple announced their pregnancy during an Amazon Livestream on Thursday, followed by posts to their Instagram accounts, where they shared details around the baby’s due date and how the pregnancy, now 10 weeks, has been going so far.

“Baby Haibon is due Feb 10th! We are very excited for that day to come! It’s so cool to think I’m creating a human that’s half me and half Jared!” Iaconetti, 33, captioned her post, where she’s crouched over the toilet, with Haibon holding her hair as well as ginger ale and crackers. “I won’t lie though, pregnancy has not been a delight for me. The nausea has been relentless and I throw up multiple times most days. I knew the first trimester wasn’t easy for most, but I didn’t imagine my life [would] come to a standstill feeling like I have an extreme hangover for 5 weeks and counting.”

Fans even got to witness the exact moment the couple learned they’re expecting. In a video Haibon, 32, posted to Instagram, Iaconetti is waiting for the results of a digital pregnancy test and calls for her husband to come join her.

“Are you in the shower yet?” she asks.
“No, not yet. I’m pooping.”
“Oh God. I wasn’t going to look at the pregnancy test until I was with you.”
“Alright, give me 10 minutes.”
“Ten minutes?!”

Haibon eventually comes out and Iaconetti flips over the pregnancy test—only to discover that it hadn’t worked, and she’s out of pregnancy tests.

The next day they try again.

“Are you ready to see this?” Iaconetti asks, pregnancy test in hand.
“Yes, but I mean the Bruins are also on right now, so it’s a little difficult!”
“Should I have waited until 11?”
“No, no, this is more important.”

And then, the results come in.

“Oh my God, Jared, it says pregnant!”
“Shut the hell up. You’re joking. Are you serious?”
“Yes! I told you! I told you!”
“Holy sh*t. Aw babe!”

The happy couple—a bit in disbelief—laugh and kiss, and go on to tell their loved ones (including their dog Lois) about the pregnancy.

Iaconetti and Haibon shared with People that they’ve already picked out a baby boy name but are still brainstorming for a girl. The couple had been trying to conceive for several months; during an episode of the “Click Bait with Bachelor Nation” podcast last February, they said they’d been trying for about three months at that point. The two met on ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ and married in Rhode Island in August 2019.
