The Bachelor's Arie and Lauren Luyendyk Are Expecting Baby No. 4
The Luyendyks are growing their family once again!
Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Luyendyk, who met on Season 22 of The Bachelor, shared the exciting news on March 10. “Our last missing piece…coming this September,” the couple captioned a set of beachside maternity photos featuring themselves and their three children—4-year-old daughter Alessi and 2-year-old twins Senna and Lux—dressed in jeans and crochet sweaters.
The announcement comes shortly after the 43-year-old former race car driver revealed that he had recently reversed his vasectomy. “As you guys know, I got the vasectomy after the twins were born, and ever since then, I don’t know, I think I rushed it,” he told People. “Honestly, it’s more on me. I think having the twins was hard at first.”
Not long after the procedure, Arie had a change of heart—one that took Lauren some time to adjust to. “It’s funny, he fully convinced me that that chapter’s closed and I’m like, ‘Okay,’ and came to terms with that. And now have to just get out of that again,” Lauren admitted last month, teasing that she was “getting there. Arie is totally there. I’m getting there. Hopefully baby no. 4 coming soon.”
Fans, friends, and Bachelor co-stars shared their excitement and surprise over the couple’s announcement. “Absolutely incredible! God bless. Now time to reverse the reversal,” joked former Bachelor host Chris Harrison. “There she is! Congratulations,” chimed in Natalie Joy Viall. “I love this baby already,” added reality TV star Jessica Nickson.
Lauren and Arie first met on The Bachelor, where he initially proposed to Becca Kufrin, leaving Lauren as the heartbroken runner-up. However, not long after, Arie ended his engagement and reached out to Lauren via Instagram in 2018. The two got engaged during the After the Final Rose special and married in January 2019.
