The Ultimatum's April Marie Melohn Shares the Arrival of Her Baby Girl

April Marie Melohn is officially a mom!

The Ultimatum alum and her boyfriend Cody Cooper shared the arrival of their first child with an Instagram post on August 12. “Baby Girl IS HERE!” Melohn excitedly wrote. “I knew I wanted to go through the experience of our delivery & time at the hospital in private. As hard as it was a secret to keep, I’m so happy to finally share with you guys…Just know it’s been a long week for us, but we made it!”

The reality TV star and Cooper spent four days in the hospital leading up to the big day. “The MOST painful 24+ hours of my life, yet the most beautiful experience EVER. I’ll never forget,” added Melohn before thanking her doulas, labor and delivery doctors, nurses, midwives and staff.

Melohn also took the time to thank her partner for always being by her side, noting that she was “so excited to transition into parenthood” together. “I can’t tell you how proud I am or how much more in love I am with you and all of the emotions I am feeling for our little family,” she said. “Everything still feels so completely surreal right now. Baby girl is healthy & so perfect.”

Just two days later, the social media personality introduced her little girl to the world. “Mila Aven Cooper,” she wrote before sharing her daughter’s birthday, weight and height. “These past few days have been pure bliss…Happy tears and nonstop staring at this sweet face. Mommy & Daddy are obsessed with you,” she added.

A feminine name of Spanish origin, Mila traditionally means “miracles” in Spanish, while in Slavic, it translates to “favored.” The 67th most popular girl’s name in the United States, the name Mila shot to fame in the late 1980s and has since steadily grown more popular.

Cooper and Melohn first announced their exciting baby news in March with a beachy photo shoot. “The hardest secret we’ve ever had to keep! Coming Soon… 2023," the couple wrote in the Instagram caption. “Made a bestie with my bestie,” Melohn added in another post.
