Andy Cohen Reveals He’s Expecting His First Child via Surrogate
Surprise! In about six weeks, Andy Cohen will be adding a new title to his résumé: Dad.
The TV producer shared the news with fans in a heartwarming announcement on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live, which he also posted on Instagram.
“I’ve always tried to be as transparent as possible about my life. I overshare and I expect everyone around me to do the same. And tonight, I want you to be the first to know that after many years of careful deliberation, fair amount of prayers and the benefit of science, if all goes according to plan, in about six weeks time, I’m going to become a father thanks to a wonderful surrogate who is carrying my future," Cohen shares.
The talk show host explains although his plan to become a dad is happening a little later than expected, he’s excited for what’s to come during this new phase of life.
“Family means everything to me, and having one of my own is something I’ve wanted in my heart for my entire life. And while it has taken me longer than most to get there, I cannot wait for what I envision will be my most rewarding chapter yet.”
The countdown is on. Based on his timeline, Cohen could officially become a dad by late January or early February. Until then, we’ll patiently await the little one’s arrival.
Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade recently delighted fans with the surprise birth of their baby via surrogate. Their daughter, Kaavia James Union Wade, is the pair’s first child together.
