Amy Schumer's Maternity Pictures Poke Fun at Traditional Photo Shoots
Amy Schumer set the stage when she announced her pregnancy with a funny photo on Instagram. Since then, she’s managed to insert humor any chance she gets, while also giving a very real account of her pregnancy.
True to form, the comedian recently shared her maternity photo shoot taken for an interview with The New York Times, and it’s like nothing you’ve ever seen before. Poking fun at more traditional pregnancy photos, the shots show the 37-year-old in various poses while nude and cradling her bump.
Needless to say, her fans have been loving the shots. There’s no right or wrong way to take pregnancy photos. In fact, there are so many creative ways to pull it off, and all that really matters is that they suit you and your personality. Which is why although Schumer’s approach may not be the route most take, they work for her. She’s been poking fun at herself throughout her entire pregnancy. Back in December, she shared a picture of herself hooked up to an IV asking, “am I glowing?”
Her ability to find the humor in almost every situation has helped her push through a really uncomfortable pregnancy. Schumer has been super-open about her struggle with hyperemesis gravidarum, which is an extremely serious and painful type of morning sickness. Her ongoing struggle with the condition ultimately led her to cancel the remainder of her comedy tour.
