Amy Schumer’s pregnancy announcement delighted fans when she first boke the baby news back in October. True to form, she hasn’t been shying away from being honest about her pregnancy journey, including her horrible experience with hyperemesis gravidarum, which is an extremely serious and painful type of morning sickness. Since then, she’s been staying brutally honest, and based off of a recent post, the mom-to-be is sadly still in a lot of pain.

With an IV hooked up to her arm, Shchumer sarcastically asks, “Am I glowing?”

As harsh as it may sound, fans and moms alike are praising the starlet for raising awareness on just how serious (and painful!) HG is for soon-to-be-moms. And this isn’t the first time she shared some #RealTalk. In the two months we’ve known about her future baby, she’s made it a point to tackle the subject head-on.

In another Instagram post, Schumer filmed herself throwing up in a public bathroom just an hour and a half before she had to be on stage for a show. The actress also used an earlier update to inform her fans she was forced to postpone shows because she’s “sick as hell and intends to rest until I’m really better.”

And no one can forget the original social media post, showing Schumer passed out in a hospital bed because of HG.

“Everyone who says the second trimester is better is not telling the full story. I’ve been even more ill this trimester,” she admits. “I have hyperemesis and it blows. Very lucky to be pregnant, but this is some bullsh*t!”

There’s no getting around it—HG is an excruciatingly uncomfortable condition some pregnant women have to endure. Through Schumer’s blunt posts and updates, she’s shedding light on a topic many people don’t fully comprehend. In fact, when Kate Middleton was pregnant with Prince George, she also suffered from the awful condition.
