The Trailer for Amy Schumer’s Documentary Is Here and It's Amazing
Amy Schumer’s new docuseries, Expecting Amy, is almost here!
The three-part documentary, which was announced in October, centers around her difficult pregnancy journey. While pregnant with her son, Gene, Schumer was diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum—a condition that’s defined as extreme, persistent nausea and vomiting, which can land you in the hospital with dehydration. What’s worse is symptoms sometimes can stick with you for the whole pregnancy—but continued to juggle her tour schedule as a stand-up comedian (which included 42 cities and 60 shows!). Now, the trailer for the docuseries, which is to be released on HBO Max in July, is here and shows an emotional Schumer days after finding out she was pregnant.
“I found out two days ago that I was pregnant,” Schumer says to the camera, smiling and wiping away tears. “I’m just so excited.”
The trailer also shows sweet moments between Schumer and her husband Chris Fischer, including a moment from their wedding, in which Schumer jokingly tells him, “I’m so happy for you that you found me,” and a moment from her tour, in which she asks him, “Will you do my act for me?” to which he answers with a smile, “Yes.”
Schumer asked her online fans, shortly after giving birth to Gene, if they would want to see a documentary following her pregnancy journey.
Expecting Amy will be on HBO Max starting July 9, 2020.
