They say it takes a village to raise a child, and for young moms in foster care who often go it alone, having a caring community can make all the difference. To help these parents get the support, resources and education they need to thrive, celebrity moms from Zooey Deschanel to Mandy Moore and Amanda Kloots are teaming up to give back during the Alliance of Moms annual t-shirt campaign.

Designed by Joanna Edwards, this year’s must-have tee is all about community. “CommUNITY Motherhood,” is written across the front of the shirt in a colorful, flowery font echoing the Alliance of Moms’ core belief that, “motherhood is a journey…and no matter your circumstances, every mother deserves community to empower, uplift and push her to be the best version of herself.”

Photographed alongside Deschanel, Emily Schuman and Alliance of Moms cofounder Kelly Zjafen, Mandy Moore joyfully sported her CommUNITY Motherhood tee in a recent Instagram post highlighting the campaign. “This Mother’s Day, join me in supporting young moms in foster care with the purchase of a #commUNITYmotherhood tee, and you will bolster the powerful work of @allianceofmoms to provide critical services, education, resources and advocacy so that young parents in foster care can thrive,” she wrote in the caption.

The shirt, which comes in sizes XS to 3Xl, is currently available on ShopAllianceofMoms.org for $40. All of the profits from your purchase will go directly to Alliance of Moms where it will be used to help young moms in foster care access critical services like healthcare, stable housing, education and family support.
