Hunger Games’ Alexander Ludwig and Wife Lauren Are Expecting Again
The Hunger Games alum Alexander Ludwig has another little one on the way!
Famous for his role as Cato, Alexander and his wife Lauren recently shared they were expecting a younger sibling for their daughter on Instagram." Ooooops! New baby Ludwig coming June 2024 and we couldn’t be more excited," the couple captioned a photo of their soon-to-be family of four.
The announcement comes just 10 months after the Ludwigs welcomed their first child on April 27. “Leni James Ludwig decided to come on her own schedule 4 weeks early. Born 4/27/23 at 7:24am,” Lauren captioned a photo of her family of three. Leni, a gender-neutral shortened form of the Greek name Helena, means “light.”
The Their Jewelry founder also noted that the Vikings actor returned from filming in another state “just in time” for his baby girl’s early arrival. “A labor story for the books,” she added. “I’d run through a building for these girls,” the Heels star said upon reposting the photo to his story.
The Ludwigs announced they were expecting in February 2023, opening up about their difficult journey to parenthood. “As a lot of you know it’s been a long road for @alexanderludwig and myself. We suffered 3 losses before this one but each one of those losses taught us about ourselves and each other,” Lauren shared. “To everyone out there who has suffered miscarriages before, there is light on the other side of your journey. You are not alone.”
Lauren had previously discussed her third pregnancy loss in an emotional Instagram post in May 2022. “I decided I wanted to share because I don’t think it’s a shameful thing to talk about. I want to help others realize how common miscarriages are and how they aren’t something to be embarrassed about,” she wrote.
“Going through this has made me realize, I definitely am not alone. It’s so common and yet, I feel it’s not talked about nearly enough,” she added. "If more of us talked about these things, maybe we would feel less alone and at fault. Information is power and I want to start sharing more of it. This will forever be a part of our story. My hope by sharing this, if for no other reason, is for that one person reading this to know they are not alone.”
