Adele Stops Show to Help Parents-to-Be With Their Sex Reveal

There are plenty of creative and exciting sex reveal ideas going around these days, but one couple’s big reveal may have just taken the cake.

New York parents-to-be Shantelle and Chris Dare recently went to an Adele concert with a very specific goal in mind, to get the iconic Hello singer to share their big news herself. Amid a crowd of hundreds, the couple held up a sign that simply said, “Adele will you do our gender reveal?”

Impressed with the couple’s ingenuity in getting a sign into the venue and excited to do her first on-stage reveal, Adele happily obliged the couple’s request, inviting them up to the stage and sharing their big news with the whole crowd.

Taking the special envelope from an 18-week pregnant Shantelle, the mom-to-be told the pop star that they had saved their big news since they got it 12 weeks ago just for this moment. With no further ado, Adele ripped open the envelope and proudly announced, “Shantelle and Chris are having a baby boy!”

Shortly after the announcement, the Dares celebrated the news, jumping up and down and hugging before Adele herself was overcome with emotion and started crying happy tears. “That was amazing. I’m so happy for you! That’s so emotional, oh my god,” she said through tears, joking, “If and when I get pregnant will you do my gender reveal? At the shower, I’ll have you back, and you can do it.”

The Rolling in the Deep singer wrapped up the reveal by thanking the couple and wishing them luck. “I was so honored to do that, that was so lovely,” she said. “Good luck, congratulations! I’ve got an 11-year-old boy and woohoo, you’re in for a ride.”

Since posting their epic reveal the couple’s video has gone viral, with commenters congratulating the couple and applauding Adele for taking time out of her show to make the Dares dream come true. “I love that you both had to comfort Adele after this,” joked one commenter. “Can you imagine telling your baby, Adele announced him? This is pure gold,” added another.
