Zeledonia
z(e)-ledo-nia,
zel(e)-donia
Origin:Greek
Meaning:Passerine bird; Yellow flower
Zeledonia with its whimsical and lyrical pronunciation could easily pass off as the name of a magical, mythical kingdom. However, it’s a Greek name for girls and derives its meaning from being associated with a unique species of a passerine bird, native to Costa Rica and Panama. Since it can also be styled as Seladonia or Celadonia, it can refer to a yellow–colored flower in that case. But if you’d like to see your little one fly high, Zeledonia may just be the wind beneath their wings.
