Zefir

Embracing the winds of change for baby’s anticipated arrival is the masculine name, Zefir. Found in Polish, Bulgarian, Ukrainian, and Russian, Zefir is a form of Zephyr from the Greek Zephyrus. This lofty name means “west wind” and was borne by the personification of the west wind in Greek mythology. Considered the most gentle of winds, Zephyrus was deemed a messenger of spring who brought fertility and abundance to the land. Zefir is ideal for the little sprite flowing to town on an early summer breeze.
