Wernher

Wernher is a boy’s name of Old German origin. Composed of two elements, warjana meaning “defender” and harjaz meaning “army”, it reads as “defending warrior.”  As the variant of Warner and Werner, it’s related to so many notable personalities, including Werner Forssmann, the Nobel Prize-winning German physician and the Warner brothers who founded Warner Bros., one of the Big Five major American film studios.
