Vitas

Vitas is a boy's name of Latin origin, meaning "life-giving." Vitas is a version of Vito, also of Latin origin, but nowadays a tremendously popular name in Italian culture. The predominant religious belief throughout Italy means that Vito and Vitas are somewhat revered names. Saint Vitus, or San Vito, is the patron saint of dogs and a heroic figure in southern Italian folklore. Baby can have no better inspiration than a heroic, dog-loving saint.
