Verneta is a girl's name of Latin origin, meaning "spring." It is a variant of the name Verna, which means "spring green," and was popularized in the mid-to-late 20th century in Hollywood. Verna Felton was an award-winning actress and voice artist whose name is synonymous with Disney. Over a ten-year period, Verna voiced Dumbo's mother in the 1941 original film, The Fairy Godmother in Cinderella, and The Queen of Hearts in Alice in Wonderland.
