Thorley

Thorley is a surname and boy’s name of Old English origin. A variant of Thornley, which means “thorn meadow,” there are two places of this name in England, and one on the Isle of Wight. The name most likely originated as a habitational name for someone from one of these places. Though rarely used as a first name, it was borne by English actor Thorley Walters and politician Thorley Smith.
