Surayyah

Every time you see light and joy flash in baby Surayyah’s eyes, you’ll be reminded of the constellations in the skies. This feminine moniker is an alternative spelling of Surayya, though both titles are variants of the Arabic Thurayya. When translated, Surayyah means “the Pleiades,” referring to an open star cluster found in the constellation of Taurus. The Pleiades are also sometimes called the Seven Sisters, so perhaps baby will be part of a community of fellow bright sparks! Surayyah may also mean “chandelier,” “princess,” and “prosperity” in Persian, fitting endearments for a little one with an illuminating aura.
