Surayya

Directly inspired by our solar system, Surayya is a feminine name of Arabic origin, meaning “cluster of stars,” or “the Pleiades.” A variant of Thurayya, an Arabic ode to the Taurus constellation, Surayya comes steeped in other-worldly wonder and brings to earth a beautiful creation beyond reach. Just as the Pleiades rise to greet their onlookers with their phenomenal glow, so might little Surayya be a grace to those who gaze upon them.
