Snowden

Snowden is a masculine name of English origin, meaning "snowy peak." First recorded in 1095 as snawdune, from the old English elements snaw and dun, the original meaning is translated as "snow hill." Although the spelling is slightly altered, Snowden has surely taken inspiration from the snowy peaks of Mount Snowdon in northern Wales. At well over 3,000 feet above sea level, it is the tallest peak south of the Scottish Highlands. Standing tall above all others, baby Snowden will easily empathize.
