Raynae

Raynae is a playful-sounding title with a complicated origin story and multiple possible meanings. It is likely a variant of Rayna, a Bulgarian form of Regina, and the feminine form of Rayno, giving it Latin and Slavic roots and the meaning “mighty.” In Yiddish, Rayna is an alternate transcription of Reina—written as  ריינאַ—and means “pure” or “clean.” However, in English, it also means “ king’s advisor,” carrying with it a sense of honor and wisdom. There’s plenty of inspiration behind this unique name, and baby will certainly make a mighty addition to its line of previous bearers.
