Ovie

Ovie is one of those unique boy’s names that appears in several different cultures. In Europe, Ovie is a diminutive of Overton, an Old English name that means “riverside settlement.” In Nigeria, however, Ovie also has a more majestic backstory. Ovie means “King” in Urhobo, a language that belongs to the Urhobo people of Nigeria. It will have baby walking (or crawling) around with all the swagger deserving of a monarch.
