While not all trends experience a comeback, vintage names will always have our hearts! One oldy but goody is the boy's name, Monty, which has French roots and means "mountain." During the 1960s, Monty made it to the top 1,000 list thanks to the British sketch comedy troupe Monty Python. Although it still tickles funny bones, the name's most recent popularity can be credited to dear Uncle Monty from A Series of Unfortunate Events. This children's book series was uber-popular in the early 2000s and followed the lives of siblings Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire. Kind-hearted Dr. Montgomery "Monty" Montgomery had a passion for snakes, so if your little one asks for a puppy, consider it a blessing!
