Melkior

Melkior is a boy’s name of Polish origin. Meaning “city of the king” or “my king is light,” it comes from the Hebrew name Melchior and possibly traces back to the biblical story of Christ’s birth. According to the Excerpta latina barbari, Melchior is the oldest of the three Magi who gift the infant Jesus with gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
