Linus

Linus is a Greek boy’s name that means “flax” or “flaxen-haired.” In Greek mythology, Linus is the son of Apollo. A talented musician, he was killed by his father because he rivaled the Olympian god’s own musical talents. In another myth, he was the music teacher of both Hercules and Orpheus. More recently though, Linus is associated with Linus Van Pelt, the best friend of Charlie Brown.
