Kimbery

Kimbery is a girl's name of Old English origin. A slight departure from Kimberly, it's made up of Cyneburg meaning "royal fortress" and leah meaning "woodland" or "clearing." Put together, it roughly translates to "the woodland clearing of the royal fortress." Clearly, it's indicative of a place, which does find a record in the Domesday Book of 1086. It's also been adapted into an aristocratic title, as is the story of Lord Kimberley, after whom a province in South Africa is named after. At the end of the 19th century, this place played host to battle and was the site of British victory during the Second Boer War.
