Kammy is similar to Cammy in that it was initially conceived as a nickname for the feminine Camilla and the masculine Cameron. Camilla is an Italian name meaning "helper to the priest," and Kammy has a history of being helpful too. Kammy Koopa is a recurring character in the Super Mario franchise as the second in command to Bowser. Many people say that Kammy is the true brains behind the operation. Not for the last time.
