Jocelle

Jocelle is a feminine name of German origin. As a variant to Jocelyn, it refers to a “member of the German tribe, the Gauts.” It’s believed that this may have come from the Swedish river Göta älv at the city of Gothenburg, or perhaps it takes after a mythical ancestor or national god in the origin myth of this tribe. Either way, it’s a name that wears its heritage on its sleeves. So whether or not you claim ancestry to this lineage, Jocelle is a moniker that baby can take pride in.
