Jeroboam

Jeroboam is a masculine name of Hebrew origin inspired by Yarav'am. Borne by two kings of the northern kingdom of Israel, Jeroboam has a regal air and shows the juxtaposition between good and not-so-good leadership. The first King Jeroboam encouraged the worship of golden calf idols and earned a reputation as “the king who made Israel sin.” However, the second King Jeroboam—the 13th king of Israel—was successful in expanding his kingdom and brought an era of peace. Jeroboam means “may the people contend,” but also means “may the people increase,” and serves as an everlasting reminder to lead with integrity.
