Haikili
Origin:Pacific Islander
Other Origin(s):Hawaiian
Meaning:Thunder
Though its origins are somewhat mysterious, Haikili may be considered a boy's name of Pacific Islander origin that means “thunder.” Possibly inspired by Hekili and the name of the Hawaiian god of thunder, Kanehekili, Haikili is ideal for the little one here to have a big impact. Thunder is believed to be the divine form of Kanehekili, but when this deity visits people’s dreams, he is depicted with his feet on Earth and his head touching the clouds. One side of him is white, and the other side is black. Those born with a birthmark on their right side are said to be chosen by or given to Kanehekili. Haikili not only speaks to your child’s ancestry but is sure to help baby make an entrance with its lively energy.
