Glenroy is a gender-neutral given name and surname of Scottish and Jamaican origin, deriving from the place name of Glen Roy in Scotland. Glen Roy is a beautiful nature reserve featuring the geological phenomenon of three loch terraces, known as the Parallel Roads of Glen Roy. They resemble man-made roads, but actually formed along the shorelines of an ancient ice-dammed lake during the Pleistocene era.
