Gisselle

Gisselle is a feminine French name of Germanic and Old Norse origins and means “to pledge” or "hostage." The name became popular after the daughter of King Charles lll, Princess Gisela, was sent to marry the Viking leader Duke Rollo of Normandy. By giving his daughter to the Duke, the King hoped that it would stop the pillaging of his land. Gisela pledged her life for the safety of her father’s kingdom. A name that means "to pledge," baby Gisselle will always know the love their parent pledged to give them forever.
