Gidget is a quirky little moniker for helping baby make a splash in life. An American-invented name, it combines "girl" and "midget" and means "small girl." Gidget first rose to fame in the 1960s, thanks to Frederick Kohner's novel Gidget, The Little Girl With Big Ideas. The story follows the adventures of a young surfer girl and her friends on a beach in Malibu. The book was later adapted to the big screen with the help of actress Sandra Dee. While short in stature, your little nugget will handle every wipeout with gnarly style!
