Gabrial is believed to be a Faroese or Swedish form of the Hebrew Gabriel. Meaning “man of God” and “God is my strength,” it comes from the Hebrew words gebher, meaning “man,” and ‘el, meaning “God.” Gabrial is a gender-neutral variant of Gabriel, the angel who, in the Bible, announces to Mary that she will give birth to the Son of God.
