Endymion

Just look at your little Endymion, sleeping so peacefully, a sight that might not be all that uncommon given their name’s story! With Greek origins, Endymion is said to derive from the word endúō, meaning “to dive into” or “to enter,” so if your baby arrives into the world ready to enjoy every moment, you’ll know why! In Greek mythology, Endymion was an Aeolian mortal with whom Selene, the moon goddess, fell in love. Enthralled by his beauty, Selene asked her father, Zeus, to place Endymion in an eternal sleep. Zeus granted her wish, and Endymion spent most of his life in a perpetual sleep, preserving his youth and beauty. With so much exploring and learning to do, your Endymion won’t sleep half as much as their namesake, but we’ll keep our fingers crossed for a few restful nights!
