Dorma

Dorma is a name with uncertain origins and meanings. There is some suggestion that it might be feminine and rooted in Latin and carry the meaning “sleeping.” Alternatively, it might have Albanian origins where it is considered a habitational name derived from the Albanian placename Dorës, which translates to “hand” or “arm.” Perhaps baby Dorma will sleep easily when they arrive, or perhaps they’ll grow up lending their hand to learning many things.
