Deborah is a girl's name of Hebrew origins that means "bee," and is the name of a prophetess in the Jewish Bible and Christian Old Testament. Deborah was a poet and a judge, too, who led a revolt that helped the Israelites win their freedom from the Canaanites. The victory song she wrote after it is found in the Book of Judges today.
