Chabelita

Chabelita is a Spanish respelling of the Hebrew girl's name Elisheva. Say, what? Although it may appear completely unrelated, Elisheva evolved into Elisabeth over time, which dominated the baby name world for centuries. Elisabeth—and now Chabelita—is blessed with the spiritual meaning, "God's promise" or "God is my oath." Although Chabelita is exceptionally rare, there's no telling when it will catch on.
