Averill

Averill is a gender-neutral name of Old English origin and a rare variant of the 7th-century saint Everild. Taken from the old terms eofor, meaning "boar," and hild, meaning "battle," Averill insinuates a ferocious fighter. Most references to Averill predate us all, with Sarah Averill Wildes being one of the best-known in the 17th century.
