Alyda

Alyda and its close relation, Alida, are Latin girl's name derived from Alaida, with all three sharing the meaning of "small-winged one." Alida, up to now the most prevalent variation, is believed to share Germanic and Latin roots and an additional definition of "noble kin" and "nobility." Alida Valli springs to mind immediately, the legendary Italian actress appearing in over 100 films throughout her 70-year career. She was one of the biggest stars of the Fascist era, once being dubbed "the most beautiful woman in the world" by Benito Mussolini. The "small-winged" star was awarded a lifetime achievement award in 1997, paving the way for baby Alyda and their generation to follow.
