Albin is a masculine name of English origin, meaning "white, pale-skinned." The name is derived from the root word "albino," for a person with pale skin and white hair due to an absence of pigmentation. A famous Albin currently resides in Ohio, where Tim Albin is the head football coach at Ohio University. Tim led the Northwestern Oklahoma State team to an undefeated season at the turn of the century, culminating in the NAIA National title. He has since been inducted into the Hall of Fame in OK.
