Adriano

Adriano is a boy’s name in Italian and Portuguese with Latin origins, meaning “from Hadria.” Hadria, now Adria, is a town in the Veneto region of northern Italy. It’s home to the ruins of the Etruscan city of Atria or Hatria, which are located three to four meters below the modern city. This ancient town may also have given its name to the Adriatic Sea. Adriano is a variant of the Latin name Hadrianus and the English name Adrian.
