Aage

Aage is a Danish name for boys. Derived from a medieval German term for “ancestor,” this moniker pays homage to the ones who came before, wishing their spirits guide and protect your little one. As the variant of Ake, consider it all the more if May 8th is a date to remember, seeing as that it’s marked as the name day for Ake in Sweden. Now, there are quite a number of bearers, but the standout definitely is Aage Niels Bohr, the Danish nuclear physicist who received the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1975, whose father was also a Nobel laureate. Surely, what this illustrates is that baby will stand on the shoulders of giants, and make their own strides in the world!
