Maura enjoys learning about the culture, language, and history of a place through its names. When she’s not writing for The Knot Worldwide, you’ll find her hiking and exploring outside, singing with the crowd at a concert, or sitting cross-legged on the floor writing poetry.

Education
Maura earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice in her home state of Pennsylvania. After a brief stint in law school, she left in pursuit of something more creative.

Experience
Maura began her career working as a crime victim advocate at a non-profit agency. She later switched careers and has since held roles in writing, editing, and marketing, creating copy and content for brands in a variety of industries, from music to food and just about everything in between.
