As a two-time preemie mom, my best advice for expecting parents is to pack your hospital bag sooner rather than later—just in case! Also, to be extra safe, add a few preemie-size onesies, PJs and diapers to your 'save for later' cart on Amazon so you can have them delivered as quickly as possible if needed.
Ashley has been writing professionally for nearly a decade. In addition to The Bump, her work has appeared on Romper, Parents, Verywell Family, Health, Pregnancy & Newborn, InStyle, People and more. Since 2018, most of her work has focused on pregnancy and parenting content, and she particularly loves covering newsworthy stories and breaking down how current events affect families.
Ashley earned her bachelor’s in communication from Purdue University in Indiana. After graduating, she moved to North Carolina and earned her master’s degree in management from Indiana Wesleyan University’s online program.
