Ease of use
Assembling the Lansinoh Discreet Duo was simple and straightforward. It took less than a minute to secure the pieces together and ensure that they were properly sealed. I loved how simple the instructions were; diagrams and easy-to-follow directions made cleaning, assembling, and using this pump an absolute breeze. For first use, the directions stated to sanitize the parts in boiling water, and they came out clean and perfect after additional washings in warm soapy water.
The controls on the pump are very intuitive, simply press the plus (+) sign for a stronger suction and the minus (-) sign for less powerful suction. I also appreciated that this pump has a pause button in case I need a break or to switch settings. I love that the pump remembered my settings from previous uses, so I didn’t have to keep customizing my preferred suction strength.

Effectiveness
This pump yielded exactly what I get with my electric pump—2.5 ounces on one breast and 1 ounce on the other. The milk was collected in under 20 minutes, and I was able to wash dishes and clean up my kitchen while the pump stayed secure inside my nursing bra. I felt confident walking around and getting some things done around the house while pumping and experienced no leaking whatsoever.
Rating: 10 out of 10
Comfort
This is one of the most comfortable breast pumps I’ve ever used. Even on a higher suction setting, I experienced no pain or discomfort whatsoever. I was really impressed that I could amp up the pumping speed and still feel only a gentle pull on my breasts. The 24mm flange fit me perfectly, and the silicone flange felt like it provided even more adjustability as it molded to my breast during use. I liked the massage setting to help stimulate letdown, and tried the pump using both the automatic pumping setting and adjusting the controls myself. I felt that the automatic setting was just as comfortable as when I self-adjusted the controls.

Noise level
This pump makes very little noise—it does get slightly louder on a higher setting, but not enough to disturb anyone in my house. My toddler comments on my electric pump: “Mommy, too loud!” But with the Lansinoh Discreet Duo, he didn’t even notice that I was using a pump.
Rating: 10 out of 10
Quality
I am really impressed with the quality of this breast pump. The parts feel durable and built to last. I love that the flange is a thick, medical-grade silicone and yet it maintains comfort on my breast. The pieces came out totally clean and looked brand new after a few uses and washes.
Rating: 10 out of 10
Style and design
I absolutely love the style and design of this breast pump. It’s sleek, lightweight and ergonomically designed. I love the purple color (so feminine!) and how discreet the design is and the curve of the pump fits perfectly into my nursing bra.
Rating: 10 out of 10
Value for money
The Lansinoh Discreet Duo pump is well worth the money. At $160 it’s comparable in price to a double-electric breast pump and functions like one! I was impressed with the output and how gently the pump worked to yield the usual amount of milk I’d collect with my electric pump. I love how quickly it charged with a C-charger and how easy it was to clean and pack up in my diaper bag.
Rating: 10 out of 10
Summary
Lansinoh Discreet Duo Wearable Breast Pump is lightweight, discreet, and comfortable, with suction that is gentler and yet with a strength that’s comparable to my hospital-grade double-electric pump. It’s reasonably priced for a wearable double pump in comparison to others on the market that are in the $300-$500 range. For all of these reasons, I would definitely recommend this breast pump to other moms!
