Best Baby Monitor: WiFi Baby Monitor
The latest baby monitors offer way more than a view into baby’s nursery. Amazing picture and sound quality, night vision and most importantly, hack-proof technology are key features parents expect. And all accessible from your smartphone, tablet or laptop. The WiFi Baby ticks off all these boxes and looks good enough to be on full display in baby’s room.
- How you keep an eye on baby is up to you. Stream on your TV, computer, phone, tablet or Apple watch—with the freedom to keep other apps open at the same time. Download the app (available for both iOS and Android) to monitor baby from anywhere beyond your home’s wifi network
- This monitor steers clear of the Cloud, using only password-protected wifi to function for security. And aside from an AC adapter, it’s a wireless system; no need to plug it into your router
- A DVR function and MicroSD card let you record baby’s cutest moments
- With up to 8x zoom and a 30-foot night vision range (the longest we’ve seen), you’re not going to miss a thing
This isn’t your parent’s baby monitor. But thanks to the ability to view from anywhere and record video, baby’s grandparents will be raving about it even more than you.

With wearable tech devices (like the Apple Watch) becoming more prevalent, it was only a matter of time when a problem-solving wearable for parenting would announce itself. At the ABC Expo, we got to demo the Summer Infant Babble Band, a two-piece audio baby monitor that let’s you stay connected to baby’s sleep/wake cycle wherever you are in the house. You’ll be able to hear baby’s every coo and cry in the nursery, but at the press of a button, the audio features of the band can be switched to a vibrate mode.
