Sometimes, the people who make those insensitive pregnancy comments really do mean well. And other times, they’re just plain rude. We’ve polled The Bump users to find some of the worse remarks they’ve received. Do any of these sound familiar?

“You know how that happens, right?”

“Looks like you’ve been busy!”

“Honey, as big as you are, you won’t make it to your due date.”

“I hate to say it, but you’re gaining a little weight there.”

“You look too skinny to be pregnant.”

“By your third they just kind of slide out, right?”

“Are you guys done now?”

“How much bigger have your boobs gotten?”

“I had an epidural. It didn’t work.”

“How’s that diet working out for you?”

“It just looks like you swallowed a watermelon.”

“What position did you use?”

“Once you have the baby, you’re not going to want to work.”

“Was it planned?”

“You chose a terrible time to get pregnant.”

“Good thing you’re big boned. It hardly looks like you’re pregnant.”

“You’re definitely having a girl since your butt is getting so big!”

“I hope it comes out normal.”

“Aren’t you too old to have another baby?”

“I bet you’re glad you had her prematurely so that you wouldn’t get so big.”

“Is it the same dad as your first?”

“Are you sure this is what you want?”

“You’ll never sleep again.”

“You should have a c-section. They’re so easy.”

“You definitely look more pregnant—your face is fat. It’s bigger.”

“Oh, so that’s why you’re getting married.”

“Oh look, she can’t hide the waddle now.”
